Don't know if Mariya's goal when she graduated from AKB in March of 2016 was to be a gravure Idol but that's what she's become. At the time of her departure being an actress was her main ambition and her career was going well though she hasn't been in a drama since the "Koi Girl" aired beginning in April. The last year or so is when Mariya has really bumped her vampiness and think COME ON!!
