New Tips How to access App Store through iTunes in Mac and Windows
The iTunes app on a computer device, has been known for many features that seem overlapping and confusing.
Now in its latest update, iTunes for Mac and PC finally come back as music player app and shopping multimedia content only.
You will not find access to the App Store or download Ringtones again from iTunes on the computer, to be transferred to iOS devices.
Users are asked to maximize App Store features in iOS 11 in terms of shopping and content downloading.
In addition to the above quote, Apple also provides some other details for the latest iTunes that you may have to get used to. Here is the list:
App download mode in the App Store can only be done via iOS devices.
Access content on iTunes U, now merged with the Podcast section.
Internet Radio is in the Sidebar section, use the Edit button in the Sidebar section to display the feature.
Buy and download Ringtones now can only be done on iOS. The iOS 11 operating system now supports the Ringtone document re-download feature, without the need to back up its data on iTunes devices.
Books on iTunes for Windows is no longer available. IOS device users can download book content from iBooks for iOS. More info please access on the following page.
In closing, Apple explains the features of Manage Apps and other content that you can keep using iTunes. ie searching for iOS apps, Ringtones, Books (only on PC) that you've downloaded on the iTunes Media folder.
You can also move App, Ringtone or book content from an iOS device to your computer via iTunes if the content you want to save or can not be downloaded again through the App Store.
